For any gas related work we have Gas Safe engineers, who have been working in the industry for over 20 years.  We are also Worcester Bosch Accredited installers, so can offer a fuller guarantee than any others for their products.

I became interested in electrics at a very early age as my dad was an electrical engineer and we'd spend time in his workshop at home doing anything from repairing TV sets, mending kettles and lots of other general electrical work.  My dad was a very practical man and I think that has certainly rubbed off on me too.

Leaving school I did a 5 year electrical apprenticeship run by the Joint Industry Board where I completed a City & Guilds diploma and then started work on large commercial and industrial projects at Marconi's, GEC, English Electric, Glaxo and more, doing major renovation works - I continued in this area until I was about 30.

During this time I carried out my own work which mainly consisted of domestic electrical installations and as my private work got busier I eventually gave up working for an employer and started my own business full-time in 2002.  Since that time I have never looked back and have carried out work on both domestic and commercial premises working closely with others in the building trade - especially plumbers as our two trades fit closely together.  In 2013 I furthered my qualifications again and now am Gas Safe qualified.

I have kept up-to-date with all of my electrical and gas qualifications and have returned to college 4 times as new regulations are released and currently hold:

• NVQ Level 3 - Electrical Installations
• City & Guilds Level 3 - Electrical Installations (BS7671 2011) 17th Edition plus Amendment 3
• Part P registered for building regulation purposes with Elecsa
• Certsure registered - a regulative body set up by NICIEC, ECA & Elecsa to oversee the certification process
• Trustmark registered
• Gas Safe registered through an associates company (PPH - Pike's Plumbing & Heating)

This allows me to provide a more complete home maintenance service for my clients, and by keeping all of the work within my business rather than subcontracting it out, I can be more competitive.
